Welcome
Welcome to initial launch of O-Larm: OGame RSS Reader Alarm. It is a program for the popular online multiplayer game OGame. O-Larm is an OGame program used to alert you of any activities, such as espionage action, in-game messages, fleet returns, etc., without logging you into OGame! It requires an active Commander subscription, since Commander provides an "RSS Feed" feature. RSS is most often used for web news feeds or other content that is frequently updated. In this case, the frequently changing content are your OGame messages. O-Larm allows you to automatically check and analyze your OGame RSS feed for any changes; if action you wanted to be informed of occurs, then a loud sound alarm will let you know.

Features
- Uses your Commander subscription to analyze OGame RSS feeds.
- Does not require OGame login, so is likely undetectable and legal.
- Checks your in-game messages and alerts you of any activities.
- You choose which actions require an alarm; when that action occurs, a loud siren will wake you up even if you're passed out drunk.
- Relaxed fleetsaving when you sleep - if you forget to FS or simply choose not to FS, the alarm will alert you with a sound if someone esp probes you. Just leave your PC and speakers on, let O-Larm do the rest.
- As you don't have to log into ogame, no * is created, so you can use the tool as ninja bait.
- OLarm is useful if you are playing a full-screen game - the sound alarm will let you know if someone might be attacking you.
- You specify how often O-Larm should check your messages. For example, if you're in a 5x uni, then you might want to check every 2 minutes, since you can get crashed in just 6-7 mins.
- O-Larm gives you the option of checking messages at random time intervals between A and B seconds (specified by you). For example, if you choose A=120sec and B=300sec, then each time O-Larm checks your messages, it will wait a random # between 2 and 5 minutes before checking again. The wait period is randomized between each check.
- Support for up to 5 universes at the same time! Monitor all your unis with one click!
- O-Larm alarms you in case of Internet connection problems, such as loss of connection to OGame servers or complete Internet outage.
on your network.
- O-Larm saves all your settings (login, RSS link, etc.) in a file, so you never have to enter them again, unless your info changes and you wish to update it.
- Used by several players in various unis, for a duration of about 6 months, nearly daily. No bans so far, so you are unlikely to get banned. GOs are unlikely to have tools (or interest) to check RSS feed access. RSS feeds could just as easily be accessed by normal RSS news-reading programs. Plus, I wrote the program to mimic Firefox browser accessing the feed. However, if somehow you do get banned, that's your own problem. I am not responsible for the risks you may be taking.

About
You might find O-Larm a bit different from other programs - it's not some fancy looking program. I am not even a programmer. I did this project as a learning experience, so it looks quite simple. Plus, for something this simple, why waste the effort to make a complicated program? I did what was easiest and quickest for me, given the limited knowledge of web design that I had. That's why the O-Larm interface is actually from a webpage. You choose your launch options/settings in the webpage, then launch the tool and at that point an executible file launches the actual alarm.
